Bridget Nash, LPC, Licensed Professional Counselor

Hi, I’m Bridget Nash, a Licensed Professional Counselor and whole-person enthusiast! I love working with teens, adults, and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and trauma. My goal is to create an atmosphere where you feel free and safe to rest from the burden of trying to get through tough times alone.

 Counseling Approach

I’m all about authenticity and practicality. I use a combination of different approaches like Cognitive Behavior Therapy to help you identify how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are impacting your life and keeping you stuck in patterns that aren’t serving you, the Enneagram to help you connect with your gifts and motivations, the Gottman Method to help clear barriers to communication and intimacy, and EMDR to process through trauma that’s been keeping you trapped. Together we’ll sort through the chaos, figure out what’s working and what isn’t, and tailor our goals to meet you where you're at.

 Education and Experience

I completed my Master's of Arts in Counseling from Spring Arbor University in 2019 and have been in private practice ever since! While in grad school, I worked at Wedgwood Christian Services helping teens break the cycle of self-defeating thought patterns and behavior. I have also served as a high school youth leader at my church for several years creating relationships and walking alongside our students as they navigated the transition into young adulthood.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, tending to my (growing) collection of houseplants, watching documentaries, and sewing.

I can't wait to meet and partner with you as you discover all life has to offer--feeling happier, healthier, and whole!

If you would like to schedule an initial session with me, call 616-499-4711 or click the "Schedule With Bridget" button below; I'd be happy to meet with you and help you explore next steps.
